How do I use Instagram without Reels?

Open Instagram inside Unfeed. Unfeed is a free iPhone app that loads Instagram's website without the Reels tab, the Reels feed or Explore. Your DMs, search, profiles, stories and posting still work. Get Unfeed on the App Store.

Can you turn off Reels in the Instagram app?

No. The Instagram app has no setting to remove Reels. You can mute or snooze suggested posts for a while, but the Reels tab stays. To use Instagram with Reels gone, open it through an app like Unfeed, which hides them for you.

How do I get rid of the For You page on TikTok?

Open TikTok inside Unfeed. It loads TikTok without the For You feed, so you land on the people you follow. Messages, search and posting still work. The TikTok app itself has no setting to turn For You off.

Can I use Instagram just for messages?

Yes. In Unfeed, Instagram DMs work as normal with Reels and Explore gone, on the free plan. Unfeed Pro adds a DMs only mode that opens straight to your messages and hides everything else.

Can I still post photos and stories?

Yes. You can post from Instagram's and TikTok's own websites inside Unfeed. If you need something only the real app can do, Lock (Pro) lets you unlock the real apps for 5 minutes and then locks them again.

Will I still get notifications?

Yes, if you keep the real Instagram and TikTok apps installed. Notifications come from those apps, not from Unfeed. With Lock (Pro) on, notifications still arrive while the apps stay locked.

How can I stop doomscrolling without deleting my apps?

Remove the parts that keep you scrolling and keep the parts you need. Unfeed hides Reels, For You and Explore so messages and friends stay. Pro adds a session timer, a daily limit, Sleep for bedtime, and Lock, which uses Apple's Screen Time to keep the real apps closed.

How is Unfeed different from Screen Time?

Screen Time limits a whole app. Unfeed removes the endless feeds inside the app, so you can still reply to a message without the Reels. They work well together: Unfeed's Lock (Pro) uses Screen Time to lock the real apps while you use Unfeed instead.

Price and plans

Is Unfeed free?

Yes. The free version blocks Reels, For You and Explore, and includes a Home Screen widget. There are no ads in Unfeed.

What does Unfeed Pro add, and what does it cost?

Pro lets you hide ads and suggested posts, change every filter, set a session timer and a daily limit, and use check-ins, Sleep, Lock with Hard Mode, DMs only and Post mode, and more than one account. It costs $5.99 a month, or $49.99 a year with a 7-day free trial. The trial is on the yearly plan only.

How do I cancel Pro?

On your iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions and choose Unfeed. Apple handles billing and refunds, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Privacy and safety

Is it safe to log in to Instagram through Unfeed?

You sign in on Instagram's or TikTok's own website, the same way you would in Safari. Your password goes straight to them. Unfeed never sees it and doesn't store it. Your session is kept by Apple's web engine on your iPhone.

Does Unfeed collect my data?

No. Unfeed collects no data, and there is no Unfeed account. Your settings and time counts stay on your iPhone. Instagram and TikTok still see what you do on their sites, as they would in any browser. See the privacy policy.

Is Unfeed made by Instagram, Meta or TikTok?

No. Unfeed is an independent app by Greenbird Company Limited in Bangkok, Thailand. It isn't made by or connected to Meta, Instagram, TikTok or Google.

Does Unfeed work on Android or iPad?

Not yet. Unfeed is for iPhone only, on iOS 17 or later.

Does Unfeed work with YouTube?

Not yet. YouTube without Shorts is coming next. Today Unfeed works with Instagram and TikTok.
